Obituary
20 Aug 1935 - 8 Nov 2014 Loving Husband, Father,
Brother, and Friend to all who knew him, Harold
surrendered a lengthy battle with emphysema to find
rest at age 79. He left us peacefully while in the
care of the angels at Ray Hickey Hospice House. He was
born August 20, 1935 in Woodland WA to parents Lester
Elmer Hooper and Vida Nora (Frasier) Hooper.
After serving as a U.S. Army Communications Specialist in Germany, Harold returned to Clark County where he married Patricia "Pat" (Cannon) Hooper, on November 13 1965, where they resided for the rest of his life. He and Patricia started their family in Vancouver, and then moved near Amboy to enjoy rural life. Harold's passions were his family, working on his property, raising animals, hunting, genealogy, and collecting antique bottles. Harold is survived by his wife, Patricia, children: Carrie (Hooper) Martin, Harold "Scott" Hooper, Timothy "Tim" Hooper; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Vida Hooper; his brother Charles Hooper and one granddaughter. At his request, there will be no service, however a private family celebration of Harold's life will be held at a later date.
